Estrella is managed by a voluntary Committee of Management made up of parents of children attending the preschool. (The Committee exists to ensure that our preschool provides a quality service, not only for our children, but also for those who attend in the future.) While our professional staff are responsible for the development and implementation of the kinder program, the Committee is legally responsible for all other aspects of the management including staff employment and management, collecting fees, overall maintenance of the grounds and facilities, promotion of the preschool within the community, development of policies that are consistent with legislative and industrial requirements and management of the preschool's finances. Parents are elected to the Committee at the Annual General Meeting held in November each year. Meetings are held once a month.
